(NECN: Scot Yount, Haverhill, Mass.) - Skies are clearing in Fitchburg, Mass. early Sunday morning after an October Nor'easter, but residents are still concerned with the aftermath and how long it may last.
Plows are currently working to get past fallen trees to clear roads.
Mayor Lisa Wong is concerned about the power situation, as the area experienced a lengthy power outage in 2008.
"This is certainly a test for Unitil," she said. "There was a lot of things we discovered that they did wrong in 2008 and they've promised that they've fixed a lot of it.
"We need to see manpower from the utility company. We've got wires down all over the city -- that's really blocking roads, making it really unsafe.
"We haven't seen a lot of crews. I've been driving around all night with the fire chief, really assessing the city, and we saw five total utility trucks."
As of 8 a.m., the mayor reported seeing additional utility crews working to restore power.
